Thousands of new students are just beginning to bed themselves in at their new digs, as they excitedly look forward to beginning their university or college studies.

And eBay is hoping to capture a share of the market for all the essentials which they will need as they kit themselves out, by launching a dedicated 'Back to University' store.

The store is offering discounts of a range of hardware such as saucepan and dinner sets, as well crockery, cutlery, electrical items including irons and food grills, and furniture such as computer desks, bedding, temporary wardrobes and clothing.

If any student will need a new laptop computer, a range of models is available, with discounts of up to 47 per cent off the regular selling price

Items are listed under six categories in total: Men's and women's fashion, home essentials, study time, time out and sports time.
