eBay refunds overcharged international sellers

A "technical issue" which led to sellers whose goods went to overseas buyers being overcharged for their shipping for several weeks has now been fixed, eBay has confirmed.

The problem arose after eBay instituted a new fee structure, charging sellers a final value fee on their shipping costs.

eBay spokesperson Johnna Hoff attributed the glitch to technical difficulties, and told eCommercebytes.com that there should no longer be an issue over the charging structures.

"Some of the impacted items - where sellers listed free domestic shipping, but were charged Final Value Fees when the buyer opted for international shipping instead - have already received credits.

"Other situations are still in the process of being credited," she said.
