A mum of one from Glasgow who started her own clothing design business from home and by selling on eBay, has racked up a long list of celebrity customers.

Susan Irwin raised cash to start her business by selling her daughter's second-hand clothes on eBay.

Now she has her own website, and counts stars such as Katie Price, Sophie Ellis Bextor and cast members from The Only Way Is Essex among her clients.

But the business started from her home in Bearsden because Susan, 32, wanted to be there to look after her daughter Chloe, now six, The Scottish Sun reported.

Susan doesn't even have any previous retail experience, having trained as a teacher before leaving her job to look after Chloe.

 “I didn’t want to have to go back to work. I didn’t want to hand Chloe over to a childminder,” she said.

Her own website is now attracting massive custom, and her clothes have been featured in many celebrity magazines.

And Susan admits that, since their first meeting, Katie Price has been a great help to her in getting her business off the ground, and to a level where here partner and two sisters now work for the company.
