Fashion label House of Holland has launched a temporary store on eBay to tie in with London Fashion Week, and is offering a number of lines at big discounts of its usual prices.

The store is one of the fruits of eBay's collaboration with the British Fashion Council, which helps organise and promote London Fashion Week, at which designers' important collections for early next year are showcased.

Fashion Week events started today, and the eBay sale runs only until next Tuesday, so eager designer shoppers have just a few days to snap up some desirable pieces for their wardrobes.

As part of its collaboration, eBay will also be streaming House of Holland's catwalk show for the launch of its spring/summer 2013 collection, which takes place tomorrow (Saturday), on its Style Collective fashion blog.

Sarah Sherman of Marketing magazine said: "The House of Holland activity forms part of eBay's ongoing strategy to be perceived as a fashion retailer for big-name brands, not just an online marketplace".
