David Beckham already has one of his and wife Victoria’s flash sports cars up for sale on eBay, and now his good pal Michael Jordan is following in his footsteps.

The two, good buddies from the time when Beckham was playing for Los Angeles Galaxy, are both known to have a love of supercars, and ‘Golden Boots’ is currently selling a British-built TVR through the site, which was bought for his wife Victoria.

Jordan’s car is truly from the Premier League of super cars, and is expected to go really quickly – which it does in more ways than one.

The car, a McLaren Mercedes SLR 722 coupe, would have cost Jordan the equivalent of £350,000 when new, and at the time of going to press, was listed on the site with a ‘buy it now’ price of US$429,998, or just over £272,000.

If the eventual new owner is ever brave enough to take their new motor out onto the road and see what it can do – where it is legal, of course – he or she can expect it to hit 62mph from rest in 3.8 seconds, and go on to reach a top speed of 207mph.

Jordan has clearly not had much time to explore the car’s full potential, as the website lists it as having covered just 962 miles.

In an effort to eliminate time-wasters, Jordan’s people have insisted that anyone interested in bidding for the car must put down a $500 deposit before they are even allowed to place their bid. 

International shipping of the car is likely to add another hefty amount onto the eventual sale price. It could even be ideal for someone looking to set up an express delivery service with a difference - although it would, of course, only take very small and light packages.
