Amazon predicted to amaze with sales figures growth

Amazon is the subject of fevered speculation as it prepares to announce its latest quarterly sales figures tomorrow.

Investors have enjoyed a 68 per cent return on their stakes in the past year, and that confidence is expected to culminate in the company unveiling news that its sales have tripled over the three months from June to September.

International Business Times says the anticipated announcement that quarterly sales reached US$7.36billion (GBP4.66billion) over the quarter will justify the massive amount of attention which its figures now receive, as a benchmark for performance among other blue-chip companies.

And with the company investing in extra capacity for support services such as international shipping and express delivery fulfilment, as well as adding new sales categories, and the rise in its customer numbers, analysts are forecasting continued rises in the value of Amazon’s stock.

While industry-watchers believe there is still strong potential for continued profit growth and improved margins, strong competition from the likes of Wal-Mart in the sales field, and Apple on the technology front is leading some to sound a more cautious note.
