Online retail has been growing rapidly in recent years, meaning more people are in need of postal services to deliver cheaply and safely to their homes.

The likes of online marketplaces such as eBay mean that someone in the UK is more likely than ever to send a parcel to France or need a courier to Australia to dispatch products.

According to the editor of .net magazine, Dan Oliver, online retail is taking over from high street shops.

He says: "For many people, the internet is now the primary way they shop and entertain themselves."
