Worldwide shipping customers wanting to send a parcel to Estonia, will now be able to make use of a new automated system.
Estonia Post is asking suppliers of automatic parcel terminals to bid for the contract to supply the postal service with "a complex technology solution."
This will allow customers to send and receive shipments via the terminal.
The decision follows a successful trial in the capital of Tallinn, this June, that received positive feedback.
Estonian Post Board member Aavo Karmas said: "We want to offer customers all delivery channels – courier, post office and automated terminals."
After being introduced in Estonia, the self service terminals will then be rolled out in Latvia and Lithuania.
The decision follows the announcement that Estonia Post has acquired an additional 42 vehicles to augment its parcel delivery fleet.
