While there is no chance that the original set of Ashes that reside in the famous urn can ever be sent abroad, Brits with friends or family heading to watch the world-famous cricket series down under may want to send a parcel to Australia to lift their spirits.

England's record away from home in the original cricketing grudge match is none too healthy, especially in recent times, and it may be that a selection of home comforts sent from the UK could help them get through the Aussie summer.

The two sides match up again this winter - summer in Australia - for the biannual five-match series that is the highlight of the cricket calendar.

And with the fourth test match starting on Boxing Day, many England fans could be a long way from home for Christmas, making a festive box of goodies from home all the more welcome.

The first ball of the series will be bowled in Brisbane on November 25th, with Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney hosting the remaining fixtures.

England currently holds the Ashes after a famous victory for Andrew Strauss's men on home soil last year.
