Royal Mail is putting its prices up again.
It has been confirmed that first and second class stamps will rise by 2p to 41p and 32p respectively from April 2010.
Regulator Postcomm approved the price rise earlier this year saying it is necessary to make up for the fall in the volume of items being handled by Royal Mail.
People sending goods through the post look to be worst affected.
Large letter prices will increase between 5p and 10p depending on weight while packets will go up 11p to £1.39 for up to a hundred grams.
Customer body Consumer Focus says it is disappointed.
