Parcel2go will now be able to offer more frequent efficient parcel couriers thanks to client Royal Mail.
The national postal service has agreed a new freight arrangement with the biggest railway haulage company in Britain.
Rail establishment DB Schenker is all set to begin delivering mail and parcels up and down the country on behalf of Royal Mail Holdings.
The company will commission seven freight trains along links between the capital, the north of England, and over the border into Scotland.
The lines used and frequency of trains sent will then be open to further development upon demand for the service increasing.
Chief executive of DB Schenker Alain Thauvette said: "Rail forms an important component of Royal Mail’s distribution network."
