Royal Mail is to work in association with online auction giants eBay to begin a new online service.
The new venture will see brands provided with information on breakdowns of customer trends.
The application, known as the Royal Mail Insight Tool offers data on over 140 million records of purchases each year.
Postcode information, buying history and expenditure is included, but the data will be anonymous and is recycled every 30 days.
Royal Mail say that trough the facility, marketers and data agencies can achieve an excellent insight on how to provide their audiences, with more tailored offers of their products.
