The postal service is being destroyed by political posturing and unfair strike action, with customers the ones suffering the most.

That's according to the Royal Mail, which has hit out at the Communication Workers Union for continued strikes which have brought the postal system to a shuddering halt in recent weeks.

Rather than seeking change for workers, the CWU is intent on damaging the Royal Mail's health and the services it provides says the firm claims, but, ultimately, it is the public who are bearing the brunt of it all as they are not receiving their mail.

Meanwhile, a national ballot for strike action among Royal Mail staff has been postponed until September 16th.
