Nationwide postal strikes have been disrupting mail service for months and the walkouts have now culminated in a national ballot for strike action.
But instead of protecting their jobs through this action, postal workers could actually be damaging their chances of keeping their job according to the editor of postal news site, Hellmail.
Editor Steve Lawson says continued strikes could see a "mass exodus" of business clients and that would mean a risky financial position for the Royal Mail.
It follows the dispute between the Communication Workers Union and Royal Mail over continued job cuts and modernisation plans.
Today will see strikes taking place across Scotland.
