Deliveries across the Bristol area will grind to a halt today as Royal Mail staff begin a 48-hour strike.
This two-day action could just be the beginning, with the Communication Workers Union set to ballot for further strike action later this month in what will likely bring more chaos to the postal system.
It is part of a nationwide walk-out by postal staff, with more than 20,000 employees across the country downing tools over pay, jobs and working conditions.
With several strikes taking place across the country in recent months, millions of undelivered letters and parcels are currently stuck in the system.
