October 22nd is the day when Royal Mail staff will down tools and walk off the job unless bosses at the Royal Mail accept new proposals from the Communication Workers Union concerning jobs and pay.
The CWU announced yesterday that it has contacted the Royal Mail with details of a three-year plan which it claims will safeguard the future of the business and workers' jobs.
It appears, however, that the Royal Mail has rejected the plan outright, with managing director Mark Higson saying union bosses should think about how their actions will affect members of the public.
The CWU has warned that, should its latest proposal be turned down, then staff will have no option but to stop working, which will plunge the postal service into complete chaos in the run-up to Christmas.
There is help at hand, however, as Parcel2Go can step in where the Royal Mail can't, delivering parcels to their destination swiftly and at a great price.
