Paying to receive Christmas Cards

Parcel Delivery Video Transcript

Royal Mail has come under fire again, this time for charging people to receive Christmas Cards.

As Royal Mail now charges for the size and shape of letters, the Daily Mail claims more people are being asked to pay the difference for receiving some larger cards.

It reports in some instances people are told to collect cards from sorting offices and pay a £1 administration fee.

The newspaper predicts long queues over the next few days as people rush to get their festive post.

Watchdog Consumer Focus has accused the postal company of cashing in and failing to show ‘common sense and festive cheers’.
