A new survey of credit card trends in major US cities points to where people may be sending a parcel to USA.

The top destination could well be New York, after the report from Experian found that residents of the city own the most credit cards, with an average of 3.77 per person.

Although New Yorkers may have the most open credit cards, it seems Georgians spend the most money.

Residents of Atlanta have the highest average monthly balance of any major metropolitan area in the US, with a figure of £4,295.

The survey found that the cities with people who have the highest amount still remaining on their cards were Baltimore in Maryland and Columbus, Ohio.

Meanwhile, the cities of Pittsburgh, Boston and Philadelphia joined New York as the places where people own the most open credit cards.

The growth of online transactions is expected to hit the $1 trillion mark by 2014.

This can only mean that people are using credit cards more and more to buy goods and order delivery services.
