Sending a parcel to France or a parcel to Spain could be about to get easier after UK Mail joined Eurodis, the leading European distribution network.
In a strategic agreement, UK Mail will provide its parcels and palletised goods customers across Europe with the same range of delivery solutions it offers in the UK.
The Eurodis consortium, which comprises key shareholders like Sernam in France and Benelux, Redur in Spain and Potugal, said the partnership is a "giant leap" towards establishing continuous service and international tracking for its customers.
UK Mail's chief executive officer and new vice-chairman of the Eurodis Supervisory Board Guy Buswell added: "In times of globalisation, no logistics company will be able to fulfil customers' requirements without being connected to a powerful international network."
The parcel delivery company has already worked with Eurodis through the installation of a new data exchange IT platform in April this year, which allowed the enhanced international exchange of goods between partners.
Established 37 years ago, UK Mail now operates a network of more than 50 sites and 3,500 vehicles across the country.
