Customers wanting to have a parcel delivered to or from the north of Wales will be relieved to hear that a postal worker, who stole thousands of pounds has this week, pleaded guilty in court.
Kevin Colin Rowlands, of Chester Street in Mold, admitted taking £3,000 and €2,000 from Special Delivery parcels at a sorting office in Chester.
The incident took place between October and December last year, according to the local newspaper The Flintshire Chronicle.
Royal Mail were successful in catching the theft, using a false package with £1,000 inside.
Upon processing the parcel, the offender was witnessed putting the money into his own bag.
Sentencing is due to be passed on the 7th of May this year.
