Online businesses could go bust because of postal strike

Entrepreneurs across London are warning their businesses could go bust because of the ongoing postal strike.

The BBC claims a number of owners say they are unable to send goods or bills while the dispute over pay and job losses continues.

Spokespeople from affected businesses say they're not interested in who blames who, they just want the service they're paying for.

Many, who have online companies, are angry that they've had to turn down business because they can't guarantee delivery.

One woman said in the last couple of weeks alone, she's had to fork out £200 in refunds for customers who have never received their orders.

Royal Mail's operations director Paul Tolhurst says he urges the postal workers to abandon what he described as a totally unjustified strike and get back delivering.

A Communication Worker's Union spokeswoman says strike action is always a last resort and that they feel for people affected by it. She encourages workers to put pressure on the Royal Mail to come to an agreement.ADNFCR-2658-ID-19380849-ADNFCR
