Retail businesses which operate across online and physical channels have persisted in offering the best customer satisfaction, according to the latest survey.

The eRetail Benchmark study, from eDigital Research, revealed that high street shops which also have an online shopping portal have dominated the top 10 once again.

Of the 58 UK retail websites which were assessed, Marks and Spencer came out on top. Other retailers to perform well were Boots, New Look, and HMV.

Co-founder of eDigitalResearch, Michelle Fuller, said that if the telephone contact evaluation category was removed from the study, online-only fashion site Asos, would have been the clear winner.

The research also showed that even in the face of difficult weather conditions, 20 retailers managed to score a 100 per cent record, for ahead of schedule deliveries.
