As Britain begins to get back to normal after the severe snow, Royal Mail deliveries could be in a line for more big disruptions.
There are reports more postal strikes could be called as early as next month.
Union sources have told the Daily Telegraph that unless an agreement with Royal Mail is signed in the next 10 days, workers will once again down tools.
There would be no need for a fresh ballot, as the overwhelming vote by union members to take to the picket lines in September still stands.
It follows a series of rolling strikes in October which caused massive backlogs of letter and parcels.
