The postal service on the British Channel Island of Jersey is set for a shake up regarding how it charges its customers for parcels.
The British Crown dependency has its own delivery service, with Jersey Post intending to modify the pricing plan it applies to the posting of letters and packages.
The BBC report that Jersey Post will now charge for its services depending on the size and weight of items delivered, in a similar way to how Royal Mail changed its pricing system in recent years.
This would mean however that the cost of posting items from Jersey could rise by as much as 25 per cent for some items, although the average is believed to be around 2 per cent.
