People making parcel deliveries will be able to tip a nod to history after Royal Mail released a new set of special stamps themed around the House of Stuart.
The stamps, which were issued on June 15th, have 11 varieties and depict all seven monarchs of the historic house, which ruled Scotland for more than two centuries and inherited the throne of England in 1603.
It is the fourth issue in Royal Mail's Kings and Queens series, which shows every monarch that has ruled England from 1399 right up to today.
Philip Parker, Royal Mail's special stamps spokesperson, commented: "For many the Stuart age is remembered as probably the most calamitous that we have known."
He added however: "It was also the most significant in our history in terms of the formation of our modern ideas of politics and liberty."
