The environmental impact of sending a parcel to the USA looks set to be reduced, in the future.

FEDEX – one of Parcel2Go's leading partner businesses – is introducing four all-electric delivery lorries for Los Angeles, in June.

The first of the FEDEX fleet was unveiled in Chicago earlier this week and will make its way to California along the world famous Route 66 over the month of April.

These will be the first all-electric FEDEX parcel delivery lorries in the USA.

The company already has ten Navistar vehicles in London and five more due to hit the road in France. Meanwhile they have around 1800 hybrid vehicles worldwide.

It is hoped that the example set by FEDEX will encourage other parcel and courier services to follow suit.

This helps cutting dramatically the emissions produced as a result of sending a parcel to the USA.
