Fashion sites should increase choice for men

Parcel Delivery Video Transcript

There is potential for fashion retailers to increase their internet sales by making more menswear products available online, according to Greenlight.

Hannah Kimuyu, director of paid search at Greenlight said that although more women than men currently shop online, men tend to make more expensive purchases.

Figures released by the Office for National Statistics on March 25th, show the percentage of retail sales for the UK taking place on the internet currently stands at eight per cent.

This is 0.2 per cent more than the previous month and 1.5 per cent more than February 2009.

Ms Kimuyu is confident that this success can be further built upon, especially within the fashion sector.

"There are not enough options online for men and therefore it makes more sense for them to go and shop offline."ADNFCR-2658-ID-19690485-ADNFCR
