This is according to co-founder and editor of Social Media Portal, Tim Gibbon, who feels the online destination could become a profitable one.
Despite this, companies would need to carefully consider whether they are content for their customers' experience to be carried out on the site.
However, Mr Gibbon said that "If more storefronts were created, Facebook storefront applications could see the world's largest social network emerge as a very powerful destination, for online shopping."
