eBay UK are testing the removal of the module called, Matching eBay Shops, from search results.

Instead the auction site plan to display a text link in place of the existing visual icon, inviting users to see all matching eBay shops.

The module previously displayed the four eBay shops with the most items listed matching the buyers search query.

Although this is currently a test, it is expected to become commonplace in the future.

eBay.com removed the module back in November last year, and now they are testing it in the UK.

eBay say that the module is very rarely used and the reason for it’s removal is to speed up page load times.
