Parcel delivery services are increasing in demand if the latest e-tail sales are to be believed.
The month of April saw online sales take an increased chunk out of the UK retail market, so say the most recent figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The stats, released yesterday, show that the typical weekly value of retail commerce conducted over the web was four hundred and fourty two million pounds.
This translates to 8.1 per cent of British sales overall.
These figures show an increase of 1.2 per cent from the figure seen in month of March.
Compared to a year ago, sales across the board were 4.8 per cent higher during April, than the equivalent month in 2009.
