Drivers face having cars confiscated due to postal strike

Parcel Delivery Video Transcript

The proposed postal strike could see thousands of motorists having their cars impounded because insurance companies may not receive their documents.

Several motoring organisations have warned that innocent people may end up having their vehicles confiscated if police check to see if they are insured and discover that they are not, the Telegraph reports.

A spokesman from the AA told the newspaper that the authorities and insurance companies will not accept a postal strike as an excuse for not complying with the law, which could mean people may need to use alternative parcel delivery services like those offered by Parcel2Go.

As well as insurance documents, there are fears that tax discs may not arrive in the post before the old one expires, although the DVLA has moved to assure motorists that it is working with the authorities to minimise any problems.

To avoid any delays, consumers can always send their insurance documents with Parcel2Go to ensure that they arrive safe and sound and that they remain on the right side of the law.ADNFCR-2658-ID-19403858-ADNFCR
