Parcel to USA services offered by DHL have undoubtedly contributed to the company netting two accolades at a recent awards ceremony.

DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding both picked up awards at the eighth annual eyefortransport 3PL Summit in Atlanta, US.

Courier USA services provided across chemical, pharmaceutical and other supply chains by the two delivery arms were recognised for their excellence in operations and superior service to customers.

Eyefortransport senior vice-president of research Katharine O'Reilly commended the award winners for their ability to perform in the face of very unique challenges presented by these industries.

She explained: "There's really a common thread among the companies who win these prestigious awards.

"They're the companies equipped with vertical market expertise that allows them to respond quickly and achieve impactful results."

Last month, DHL was named logistics partner for Australia's largest desalination plant, which will see the firm deliver around 60,000 revenue tonnes of material and equipment.
