We've heard about Mega Monday in the UK, but it seems that the States have also been going cyber crazy this Christmas.

Comscore, a digital marketing analyst, has reported that US citizens have spent the equivalent of over seven billion pounds in the first thirty days of this year's holiday season.

This is up three per cent on last year. Cyber Monday itself, the most popular day for online spending, drew in over five hundred million pounds in sales, according to the company.

This is an increase of five per cent on last year's total, and equals the heaviest online spending day on record.

If the US can be used as any indicator, it seems that UK e-tailers could be in for a happy Christmas indeed.
