However, according to a newly launched website, this has been heralded as the day that marks peak season for online sales.

This year's Cyber Monday will fall on November thirtieth. To celebrate this, CyberMonday.co.uk has been launched to aggregate the best deals available to savvy internet shoppers.

Internet retailers can expect a boost in sales in the coming weeks, with figures showing that traditional stocking fillers are, on average, at least 15 per cent cheaper when purchased via the web.
