FedEx has been ranked as number one in customer satisfaction in the Express Delivery industry in a US-based survey.

The University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) put the parcel delivery company at the top of all companies whose customers were polled for this month's report.

It marks the 13th consecutive year that FedEx has remained at the top of the list, which also measures customer satisfaction in areas like airlines, hotels, restaurants and fast food.

The news comes as further commendation for FedEx, after the company was recently placed among the top 20 world's most admired companies, according to a poll published in Fortune magazine.

Fortune's annual report on corporate reputation saw the parcel delivery firm placed at 13th on the list, also representing the tenth year in a row it has appeared in the top 20.
