DHL Global Mail has launched a new service aimed at mail-order pharmacies.
The parcel delivery company will use its experience serving the healthcare industry to kick off DHL Smartmail Pharma Select.
The initiative will see DHL offer a range of individually-tailored solutions employing a variety of routing options.
A team focused on the pharmaceutical industry will help drive up service levels by analysing parcel delivery performance across the network.
Vice-president of domestic product management at DHL Global Mail, David Loonam, said the service has been developed to help mail-order pharmacies to control costs and maintain high standards of customer service.
He said: "With our long history of partnering with pharmaceutical companies, we understand both their shipping needs and business objectives."
