Music retailers HMV have announced that they now believe the CD will sell close to four hundred thousand copies in its first week alone.

This, the company said, would easily make it the biggest and fastest-selling release of 2009.

The news follows an announcement last week from Amazon, who said that the album had become the most pre-ordered in the company's history.
