Australia Post is keen to maintain the quality of its parcel to Australia services, having renewed a partnership with airline Qantas.
The postal firm indicated that the recognised benefits offered by the collaboration had prompted a renewal of an existing contract.
Qantas conducted an "extensive review" of the benefits prior to agreeing to the new five-year deal, and also agreed on the value it added to joined up services.
Australia Post managing director and chief executive Ahmed Fahour welcomed the new contract, which is valued at AUS$100 million (£57.27 million) per year, claiming that he sees the agreement as a step towards developing its "parcels and express service areas".
He added: "We recognise the significant value that exists in Australia air Express and Star Track Express and we're also in agreement that we've yet to tap into their full potential."
The two companies have been working together since 1922, underlining the continued demand for courier Australia services.
Australia Post recently released a new iPhone and iPad app, which moved to the top of the iPad's Most Downloaded Free Apps list.
It enables customers to interact more closely with their courier services, such as by tracking postal items and searching for postcodes.
