The new iPad is causing a stir.

Apple has unveiled its latest gadget - a tablet computer with a 9.7 inch touchscreen.

Users can physically interact with the applications using a highly responsive multi-touch display.

It weighs under 2 pounds and is 0.5 inches thick.

The iPad runs all the same iphone applications and has 12 new ones of its own.

Users can import pictures, watch films and listen to music.

It will be available from late March and will set you back between £310 and £517.
