Online shopping giant Amazon is launching an iPhone application in the UK.

Kindle will allow people to buy and download books onto their iPhone or iPod Touch.

The font style and size can be changed to suit the reader’s preference and the app will remember the last page being read.

Users will also be able to preview books before purchasing them.

It’s been available in the US since March.
