Women spend an average of three years of their life shopping, it is found.

Women could be making the most out of the wide range of parcel delivery options in the country, as a new survey has shown the average female shops for three years of her life.

According to a new survey from OnePoll, a typical woman shops for 25,184 hours and 53 minutes over a period of 63 years. This figure includes personal shopping trips for treats and essential trips for items such as food and clothing for the family, the survey noted.

Commenting on the news, a spokesperson from the poll company said: "Many men seem to think women only shop when they are buying clothes for themselves. But they quite often shop for the entire family and that can be incredibly hard work."

The survey also found that women take around 90 shopping trips each year for clothes - buying clothes on 30 of these, taking 15 trips to buy shoes and 27 shop visits to buy toiletries.

Many high street stores often offer online shopping which could make it easier for fashion-savvy women to keep up with the latest trends.
