Parcel delivery services in the Cheshire village of Winsford have resumed with the reopening of the Post Office.

The site of the branch is now at 19a Dingle Walk, which is just 70 yards away from the site of the original outlet, the Winsford Guardian reports.

Customers will have access to the usual parcel delivery services the Post Office provides.

Field change advisor Sue Hodgins told the newspaper that the reopening of the branch will come as a welcome relief to people in the village.

"I'm pleased that we have been able to secure a Post Office service for the local community in the longer term and I'm sure our customers will be delighted that it is business as usual again," she added.

Local man Darren King recently took control of the Heugh Post Office on the Headland in Hartlepool, safeguarding parcel delivery services in the area, the Hartlepool Mail reported.
