Wildlife park searches eBay for lemur namesA Jersey wildlife park wants someone to name two ring-tailed lemurs.

Nature enthusiasts searching eBay for a parcel delivery are getting the rare opportunity to name two surprise additions to Durrell wildlife park in Jersey.

Keepers did not even notice that Morticia, a ring-tailed lemur, was pregnant with twins and are now asking eBay bidders to the chance to name the pair after not having time to come up with one by themselves.

The winning bidder will not only name the two ring-tailed lemurs, but also enjoy some lemur goodies and a free entrance ticket.

Bidding continues until July 27th, with the current highest offer standing at £401.

Their birth comes shortly the first arrival of a healthy baby lemur at the park in 17 years.

Apparently the twins are already settling in well into their Kirindy forest Madagascan environment, which they share with their relatives the red fronted brown lemurs.

In the wild lemurs are native to Madagascar and are on the verge of being classed as endangered.
