eBay is great if you get a premium price for your wares, it is claimed.

eBay is perhaps the best place to sell goods over the internet, it has been claimed.

The number of people who use the site makes it appealing to sell items there as sellers can get a competitive price for their goods, according to Helium's Murray Lunn.

He suggests that one of the benefits of using eBay is that sellers are almost guaranteed to find someone who is interested in their items.

"Use eBay to find competitive pricing and sell items which would catch you a larger profit," he said.

Mr Lunn added that anyone who is prepared to take the time to list things on eBay should get a better price on the site than they would from selling stuff in a garage sale.

He suggested that garage sales are ideal for getting rid of unwanted items that do not sell on eBay.

His comments come after the Daily Telegraph highlighted eBay as an ideal place to pick up camping gear for the summer.
