Millionaires are using social media more than other people.Parcel delivery firms learned yesterday (October 19th) that the rich people in the US are far more likely to engage with social media sites than their fellow Americans.This is the finding of a poll from investment firm SEI, which notes that 70 per cent of high-net worth individuals are users of networking sites like Facebook.For all Americans aged over 18, 61 per cent have used social media, according to a report earlier in the year from Pew Research Center.Facebook emerged as the most popular site for the millionaires in the SEI poll, accounting for half all those that use social media.YouTube was shown to be popular with 37 per cent, while 35 per cent visit LinkedIn, the networking site for professionals."Wealthy individuals are engaged with social media even more than the rest of the American public," noted SEI Wealth Network senior managing director David McLaughlin.A recent study from comScore found that Americans are more likely than other nationalities to use their mobile phone to visit social media sites.Posted by Sarah GowerArticle Added: 20/10/2010 16:55:19
