Tesco reveals online retail arm which will sell the company's clothes.
Shoppers will no longer have to go to a Tesco store to buy the company's clothes, as the supermarket giant has launched a new online retail arm focusing on fashion.
The firm claims that the online retail facility will prove a valuable service for those who are unable to reach one of its Extra shops, as it allows them to purchase products at ease, which could see a need for the use of parcel delivery services to transport the goods.
Thousands of items will be available for consumers to buy, including Tesco's F and F brand, Cherokee, Henry J Finn and Method.
Terry Green, chief executive officer at the retailer, said the site is likely to be popular with fashion fans up and down the country.
"We want to give all Tesco customers, wherever they live in the UK, the ability to purchase clothing from Tesco and the launch of the online store will allow us to do this by making clothes shopping convenient for our customers," he stated.
A recent survey by uSwitch.com recently found that 93 per cent of people in the UK use online retail facilities to purchase various goods.
