New research has revealed the items that most Brits are currently buying through online retail channels.A new study has highlighted that UK consumers are currently focusing on buying items to use at home via online retail sites.In research which highlights the products being sent to people via parcel delivery services, eBay found that sales of plants, seeds and bulbs have risen 37 per cent in recent times as consumers choose to create homegrown produce.The report also revealed that sales of "stay-at-home" pampering goods, such as manicure kits, hair removal products and fake tan, have grown.Board games and other forms of family entertainment have provided popular, while sales of barbecues and garden furniture are also on the rise.Julia Hutton-Potts of eBay said: "The recession has caused us to perfect our bargain-hunting skills and were getting increasingly creative in finding ways to beat the crunch, from mending our own to growing our own."Recent figures from IMRG revealed that online retail sales have grown by over 5,000 per cent since the Capgemini Index was launched nine years ago.Article Added: 11/06/2009 09:28:28
