Websites are going to integrate social media more.Parcel delivery and courier services could be integrating social media into their websites more next year, after it was claimed this process will be a key online trend in 2011. John Newton from ClickThrough Marketing told Eye for Travel that as companies have a bit more cash to spend on advertising, they will begin to look at bringing elements of social media sites onto their own sites. "Sites will become a hub to aggregate and explain activity on social networks, and add long-form value," he said. Mr Newton went to explain that he thinks there will also be greater integration of social media with email. A recent survey from eCircle revealed that many firms are not joining up the two forms of online communication. Social platforms such as Facebook, added Mr Newton, offer a better way to converse with customers. He continued: "The trick is understanding how to migrate consumers across from your email database to these platforms." Posted by Rob ElliottArticle Added: 22/12/2010 09:05:39
