Roads were too dangerous for drivers to pass.People in Airdrie and Coatbridge have not received parcel deliveries for days due to the adverse weather conditions in Scotland. Some homes have not received any parcels or letters for more than a week, with snow and ice making places like Clarkston too dangerous for drivers and delivery staff to pass, the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser reports.A resident from the Clarkston area told the newspaper: "When I went to the sorting office they handed me a bundle of mail and said the roads were too bad in the area and admitted there had been no deliveries beyond Clarkston Primary."Despite the difficult weather conditions, 95 per cent of parcel deliveries have been made, a Royal Mail spokesman said.He told the newspaper that the company has hired specialist vehicles to help postmen deliver mail to those in rural locations.Paul Crosbie, from Felbridge in Sussex, recently told the Daily Mail of how he received no mail for four days because the snow and ice made it too dangerous for postal staff to reach the area.Has the weather affected your parcel deliveries?
