Royal Mail has set up a helpline to assist customers in Aberdeen who think their mail may have been stolen during a recent robbery.A postwoman was robbed as she delivered letters and parcels on Tuesday (March 17th) and Royal Mail has responded quickly by establishing a helpline to assist its customers, the Aberdeen Press and Journal reported.Her postbag was taken while she was making deliveries in North Anderson Drive and a Royal Mail spokeswoman stressed that the company is working overtime to help police find the perpetrator."Royal Mail takes the security of the mail seriously and will do all they can to help police with their inquiries," the representative told the newspaper.Police in Birmingham recently appealed for help after masked men stole a consignment of jewellery from Royal Mail workers in the Jewellery Quarter area of the city.A police spokeswoman told BirminghamMail.net that the assailants made a getaway in a Rover 25.
